E‐mails to be archived with the Astaro Mail Archiving service are transmitted in encrypted form to the archiving service. The messages are then indexed, compressed and encrypted individually with the corresponding customer key.

All the different server systems forming the Astaro Mail Archiving are redundant in design, distributed geographically and run routine, automatic backups. Both server and storage resources that are required are adapted automatically and guarantee high-performance access and constant availability for enquiries by the end users.
