Astaro Appoints Bryan Stibbard Vice President of Sales, Asia Pacific Japan
Focus on Strengthening Channel Relationships and the Promoting the Astaro Brand.
Burlington, MA – February 14, 2008 – Astaro Corporation (www.astaro.com), a leader in delivering unified threat management (UTM) security appliances, today announced the appointment of Bryan Stibbard to Vice President of Sales for the Asia Pacific and Japan region.
“We are pleased that Bryan will lead the efforts to capture opportunities in the Asia Pacific and Japan market,” Astaro’s CEO Jan Hichert said. “With Bryan’s experience in the region and his long-term rise in the IT field, we are confident we have the selected the right individual to move us forward.”
Before coming to Astaro, Stibbard worked for seven years at Symantec (Nasdaq: SYMC). While there, he filed roles as Branch Manager, Regional Director and, national channel manager. He started his IT career at CA, Inc. (NYSE:CA), serving as a channel account manager. Bryan holds a BSc degree in mathematics and statistics from La Trobe University.
Bryan says he welcomes the new challenge. “I appreciate the opportunity to lead Astaro to enormous growth in the Asia Pacific and Japan region, build our regional team and develop long-term relationships with our channel partners and customers.”
His primary focus is to promote the Astaro brand, gain mindshare and strengthen the reseller base in Australia and New Zealand. In the next six months, he also plans on hiring additional team members in Australia and Singapore.
