Astaro Appoints Roberto Baresi to Director of Sales and Country Manager for Italy

Appointment is expected to increase revenue and boost Astaro’s Italian channel

Karlsruhe, Germany (October 17, 2007) – Astaro Corporation (www.astaro.com), a leader in delivering Unified Threat Management (UTM) security appliances, today announced the appointment of Roberto Baresi to the position of Sales Director and Country Manager for Italy.

Baresi’s responsibilities will include the further development of an Astaro sales strategy for the Italian market as well as supporting the regions ever-expanding partner channel. Baresi’s ultimate goal is to increase revenue growth for the region while also expanding Astaro’s brand awareness and engaging Astaro’s Italian channel through integrated sales and marketing campaigns.

Roberto Baresi has held a number of sales and management positions in the technology space prior to joining the Astaro team. He comes to Astaro from INet spa where he was responsible for marketing services and security products and also participated in the development of a new security solution platform launched earlier this year. Additional experience includes, SIOSISTEMI spa where he was manager of networking, software development divisions and channel sales director.
