Astaro Report Manager adds powerful monitoring, event correlation and advanced alerting capabilities to Astaro Security Gateways.

London and Karlsruhe (Germany) – 22nd March 2006 - Astaro Corporation has released Astaro™ Report Manager 4.2, a security data collection and reporting tool that makes it easy to collect, correlate and analyse data from Astaro Security Gateway appliances, as well as other security gateways from vendors such as Check Point or Cisco.

Astaro Report Manager 4.2 scales easily from a single firewall device to a distributed enterprise-wide security infrastructure. For customer networks ranging from small to very large as well as managed service providers, Astaro Report Manager 4.2 provides a fast, easy and scalable reporting system that delivers superior price and performance.

Astaro Report Manager 4.2 delivers these new features and benefits:

Real-time monitoring – A new Java™-based console provides up-to-date information about critical security events in real-time
Event correlation – New correlation features combine data across all network devices to get a holistic view of hacker and virus activities
Advanced alerting – Templates allow the alert manager to create any number of alerts to reduce false positives and identify blended attacks across multiple devices, destinations, ports and other network elements
Device grouping – A new device manager allows grouping of devices together for easier management and prioritisation of events based on business impact
Scalable search – A new forensics analysis tool provides easy search capabilities for managing hundreds of gigabytes of log data on multiple devices
Compliance reports – New detailed reports are provided to meet stringent federal regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Federal Information Security Management (FISMA) compliance

In addition over 60 new predefined reports based on new content types – such as spam, spyware and more – are available to deliver knowledge about important security events quickly.

Astaro Report Manager 4.2 supports all systems running Astaro Security Gateway Software version 6.0 and later.

Availability and Pricing
Astaro Report Manager 4.2 is available immediately. Pricing starts at EUR 295 for systems running Astaro Security Gateway Software and at EUR 395 for Astaro Security Gateway appliances.

Existing customers with a valid update service subscription can upgrade to the new version at no cost. Due to internal changes, current users who are eligible for a free upgrade to Astaro Report Manager 4.2 will need to obtain a new license at Astaro’s licensing portal, www.myastaro.com.
