Astaro Signs Major Asia-Pacific Distributor NTT PC

BURLINGTON, Mass., October 24, 2006 -- Astaro Corporation (www.astaro.com), a leader in providing unified threat management security solutions, today announced a distribution and reselling agreement with Asia-Pacific distributor and services provider NTT PC Communications. Japan-based NTT PC ( www.nttpc.com) specializes in network integration, security, telephony and hosting services. The agreement represents Astaro’s second major APAC distributor, following its partnership with Next IT Inc. of Tokyo. The Company also announced today the opening of a new sales office in Tokyo.

Astaro's line of Security Gateways protect computer networks from a variety of threats including viruses, hackers, spam, spyware, phishing, and unauthorized content. Astaro products are distributed by a worldwide network of 350 solutions partners who offer local support and services.

NTT PC will distribute the Astaro family of unified threat management security appliances and provide their customer base with intrusion detection services available on a 24x7 basis.

Astaro most recently announced Astaro Secure Client version 8.3, integrating advanced capabilities to its virtual private network (VPN) client as VoIP traffic management and enhanced security for WLAN environments. ASC includes advanced mechanisms to maintain the secure transmission of voice data via IPSec VPNs.
