One of Calgary's fastest growing IT consulting companies; Pure Information Technology Inc. (Pure IT) was recently formed as part of an acquisition of Divestco Inc.'s Business Consulting Division. This group was established in 1995 and has a track record of over 15 years of expertise in IT consulting, outsourced IT services, disaster recovery and Sharepoint implementation and customization in the Calgary and surrounding area. Pure IT is a Microsoft Gold certified partner and its core business is providing small and medium sized companies in the Calgary area with full IT and computer support services.
Joining the Astaro partner community
Since 2004 the IT team at Pure IT has offered clients Astaro’s line of security products. Pure IT joined the Astaro partner community for a variety of reasons including Astaro’s pre and post sales support, “The support we receive from the pre and post sales teams is top noch,” said Troy Drever, President at Pure IT. Additionally, Drever and the rest of the Pure IT team was impressed with Astaro’s strong product offerings such as the Astaro Security Gateway and Astaro’s commitment to its partner community. Drever continued: “Our dedicated channel representative at Astaro always goes above and beyond to ensure our clients are satisfied and that we as partners have the support and materials we need to be successful.”
Building a partnership
Building strong relationships with their clients is a key to growing Pure IT’s business. Because Astaro is able to meet client demands quickly, Pure IT has been able to consistently build and maintain strong relationships with their clients. Drever is also pleased with Astaro’s joint marketing efforts and strategy for increasing Astaro’s brand recognition. “Not only does Astaro do a fantastic job marketing their name and products, they aid us in creating our own marketing initiatives which has led to an increase in new business,” explained Drever.
Growing their business
Approximately 10%-15% of Pure IT’s revenue comes from sales of Astaro’s products. “The Astaro product is an excellent addition to the range of IT products and services we offer. It is a high quality product that we are confident will solve our clients’ security issues,” said Drever.
Drever also notes that in addition to Astaro’s marketing efforts the organization’s maintenance renewal reminders create opportunities for Pure IT to increase their revenue. “Being an Astaro partner is a key differentiator for us. We aren’t just another Cisco or SonicWall reseller; with Astaro we are part of a community,” said Drever.
The future with Astaro
Pure IT has made Astaro a major part of the company’s growth strategy. In addition to offering the Astaro Security Gateway, Drever and others have already begun selling Astaro RED and are looking forward to offering their clients the Astaro Wireless Security product as well.
